Shipping policy

This policy explains how Damata Coffee Wholesale ships orders to our wholesale customers.

## 1. Service Area

We ship to all 50 US states and the District of Columbia. **We do not ship internationally** at this time. Orders requesting shipping outside the US will be canceled.

## 2. Shipping Rates

**Standard shipping**: $15 USD flat rate for orders under $300

**Free shipping**: orders $300 USD and above

Rates apply to all SKUs (5lb bags, 12oz private label, 8oz private label).

## 3. Shipping Method

We primarily ship via **USPS Priority Mail Cubic** for orders up to 20 lb per package. Large orders are split into multiple Cubic packages for cost efficiency and faster delivery. You will receive separate tracking numbers for each package.

## 4. Production + Transit Times

We roast to order. Total time from order placement to delivery:

Orders placed Friday after 12 PM ET are scheduled for the following Monday's production batch.

Holidays and roastery closure dates may extend timelines. Major closures are announced via email in advance.

## 5. Tracking

You will receive a tracking number for each package via email when the shipping label is created. Track your shipment at **usps.com/tracking**.

## 6. Multiple Package Shipments

Because we ship via USPS Cubic, orders over 20 lb are typically shipped as multiple packages (e.g., 60 lb order = 3 packages of 20 lb each). This is **not** a delay or inefficiency — it is our standard practice to keep shipping costs lower and ensure faster transit per box.

All packages of one order are usually shipped on the same day. Delivery dates may vary by 1-2 days per package depending on USPS routing.

## 7. Address Accuracy

You are responsible for providing a complete, accurate shipping address at checkout. Failed deliveries due to:
- Incorrect or incomplete addresses
- Unattended packages stolen from delivery location
- Refused packages

…are not eligible for free reshipment. You will be charged the actual reshipping cost.

## 8. Damaged or Lost Packages

**Damaged on arrival**: report within 48 hours of delivery to **orders@damata.coffee** with photos. See our [Refund Policy] for resolution.

**Lost in transit**: if USPS tracking shows the package as undeliverable, lost, or stuck in transit for 14+ days, contact us. We will file a claim with USPS and ship a replacement at our cost.

**Stolen from delivery location** (after USPS confirms delivery): we are not responsible for theft after delivery confirmation. We recommend secure delivery addresses or USPS Hold for Pickup.

## 9. Sales Tax

Sales tax is applied based on shipping destination per applicable US state and local tax laws. Wholesale customers with a valid **resale certificate** on file may qualify for tax exemption. To submit your resale certificate, email **orders@damata.coffee** with documentation.

## 10. Roast-Freshness Note

Because every bag is roasted to order, your coffee arrives at peak freshness. We recommend:
- Use within **60 days** of roast date for optimal flavor
- Store sealed at room temperature, away from sunlight and moisture
- Avoid freezing or refrigeration (causes condensation)

Roast date is printed on every bag.
